Lay Eucharistic Ministry
“Shepherd the flock of God that is among you, exercising oversight, not under compulsion, but willingly, as God would have you; not for shameful gain, but eagerly” 1 Peter 5:2
Lay Eucharistic Ministers (LEM) assist in administering Holy communion on Sundays. They are know as Chalice Bearers because they administer the chalice. In the Anglican tradition, the laity are also ministers. The congregation participates fully in the service, so it is important to have lay ministers serve in this role during worship. They are trained and understand the magnitude of serving the blood of Christ to God’s people.
All of our Ministries operate as a team. If you are interested in joining or would like more information on our lay ministers, contact Mary Swann.
